L'immagine che precede Gesų morto nella processione
del Venerdė Santo, denominata "II Calvario", rappresenta
il Re dei Giudei, curvo e insanguinato, mentre a piedi nudi
e con una pesante Croce sulle spalle percorre la Via Dolorosa,
dal Pretorio fino al Calvario. Una geniale figurazione popolaresca
del tormentoso Evento, una statua che sia pure pių formale
rispetto alle altre, si presenta estremamente elegante e
di fattura classica, nel rispetto della tradizione.

The image that precedes Dead Jesus in the
procession of Saint Friday, called "The Calvary", represents
the king of the Judean, curved and blooded, while barefoot
and with a heavy Cross on his shoulders goes through the
Painful Way , from the Praetoriurn until the Calvary. A
brilliant folk figuration of the Tormenting Event, a statue
that though being more formal in comparison with the other
ones, presents itself extremely elegant and of classic making,
in the respect of the tradition.
